As we celebrate Nobis’ 15th Anniversary, we remain steadfast in our commitment to exceed expectations in performance outerwear and innovation in the fashion lifestyle landscape, delivering a best-in-class, unparalleled product experience with a fashion meets function perspective.
We develop our products with a people first mentality, crafting versatile garments with integrity that protect you from the ever-changing elements across harsh and mild seasons.
We strive for innovation, carefully considering all elements throughout the development process, from initial design concept until the product reaches your hands. Our teams design with performance in mind, sourcing top quality materials and producing in world class facilities.
Taking social and environmental responsibility for our products is a lifetime commitment, and the journey begins here.
DESIGN
Driven by our passion to embrace the elements in everyday life, this year marks a new era of transitional featherweight performance in our design as we introduce Technical Apparel Systems for all weather protection.
Designed for the city and built to perform, our product adaptability and versatility is second to none.
Our products are designed for durability, longevity, and timelessness. Lasting products help reduce the environmental burden of our industry by keeping products in use for longer and distributing the embodied social and environmental impacts across a longer timeline.
MATERIALS
We are committed to reducing the environmental footprint of our raw materials by sourcing sustainably certified materials whenever possible.
Our goal is to use primarily bluesign® approved and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified fabrics and trims, increase the use of certified recycled fibers, and to maximize the ratio of low impact materials in our products. We are additionally in the process of phasing out fluorocarbon-based water repellents and are replacing them with safer, PFC-free options. Visit our Engineering page to learn more about our fabrications and sustainable performance partners.
We are working hard to improve the recyclability and end-of life implications of our products to ensure what we leave behind can be disposed of safely and with respect to the environment.
As new sustainable and circular materials and systems are developed and scaled, we will be able to better evaluate and improve the circular potential of our products and processes. To assess the environmental impacts of our raw materials and products, we use the Sustainable Apparel Coalition Higg Tools.
To help us accelerate Material Change, we have joined Textile Exchange – a global non-profit driving positive impact on climate change across the fashion and textile industry. Our membership gives us the tools we need to set preferred fiber goals and holistically reduce our impact, right from the start of our supply chain.
MANUFACTURING
We work with a handful of selected garment factories that can meet our expectations for high quality and craftmanship. Our products are constructed to withstand wear and care for many years and our rigorous quality control processes ensure that every product meets the quality standards.
We are a Sedex member and committed to sourcing responsibly and having an ethical supply chain. Sedex is one of the world’s leading ethical trade service providers, helping companies improve their responsible and sustainable business practices to improve working conditions in global supply chains.

To avoid textiles from ending up in landfills and natural environments, we recommend ensuring that each garment is properly disposed of by either donating or recycling them when no longer needed. Read more about Nobis resale for pre-loved items below.
NOBIS RESALE
Nobis is launching a branded peer-to-peer resale programme in partnership with Recurate in fall 2022. The programme will allow Nobis customers to resell their Nobis products through an authenticated process and achieve the highest value and lowest impact for their pre-owned Nobis products.
The programme is part of Nobis Sustainability and enables Nobis products to have multiple lives through the resale community. Customers can make more sustainable choices and find coveted, sold-out styles or limited editions no longer available through traditional retail channels. Resale extends the lifecycle of products and helps distribute the product’s environmental impact across a longer period. Nobis products are especially well suited for resale due to their high-quality materials, craftmanship, and timeless styles.
PAY IT FORWARD
No textile should ever end up in a landfill. While not all our materials are recyclable or biodegradable today, we always recommend ensuring that each garment is properly disposed of by either donating, reselling, or recycling them when no longer needed. We’re working hard to improve the recyclability and end-of life implications of our products to ensure what we leave behind can be disposed of safely and with respect to the environment.
